SHORT BIOGRAPHY.

Jay Alva first official launch was very big in the summer 2012 started he was a competitor in a competition for machete music and Time Warner Cable in Madison Square Garden Called "Alcanza la fama" which was a show to bring Latin talent to the mainstream light, Jay gained exposure due to his performance, also being chosen to replay on Time Warner Cable for the month,mentions on Twitter and Facebook that helped jay's following. Jay Alva's unique style,raspy voice and mixture of Latin and English vocals always captivates an audience , his music genre ranging from R & B,Reggeaton,house music,bachata,merengue,mambo,techno and rock. Jay Alva launched his first single alongside Latin artist "El Icc" It gave the world a piece of what this Up comers can do, The single "Gritar y llorar" numbers went very well in i-tunes and the music video plays on you tube hit 3,000 the first day Reached Mexico,Guatemala,Chile,Domincian Rebuplic and many more countries and radios that reached out to these artist. Now that Jay proved what he is able to do, He seeked Representation and was booked week by week, Winning Showcases in NYC ,Nj,Ct and Miami. Now that Jay was known locally is when big things came for Him , new doors opened and just in one year that it makes July 2013, this Latin Artist has had more then 50+ shows, Has featured in over 27 websites, performed in New York, New Jersey, Mexico, Guatemala, Connecticut and Miami. Jay Alva was called in may to open for Sesanto and pitbull at Miami calle 8 festival (la mega stage), Jay has also opened for PLAN B, ZION Y LENNOX, DON CHEZINA, BACHATA HEIGHTS, Alexis y Fido, and many more big Latin Icons. After all this recognition the chance of a lifetime came and recently Jay Alva had been called to worldwide exposure performing for univision "despierta America" on a segment Latin Superstar "Ivy Queen" judged, Jay Landed 1st place and the crowds vote. Interviews ranging from univision radio- Telemundo hit Local news Acesso Total also Local t.v shows "lets Talk, Bronx-net,news 12 Bronx And The diamante show. Jay now plans to release his second project in the genre of Bachata and a bonus summer banger track that was recorded and produced with p-diddys own Rock star producers at daddy house studios in New York city. If This Artist has managed to become a brand and a local celebrity in less then one year what can we expect from this powerhouse.

LONG BIOGRPAHY.

Jose Alvarez formally known as "JAY ALVA" was born on June 14, 1989 in Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York He was born to a Guatemalan mother and Cuban father; raised in a traditional Hispanic household. As a child, Jose was always musically entertained. At the age of four, young Jose was already singing karaoke for his family and friends, taking on big songs that never failed to stun the audience; this is when his family concluded that music was a big part of their child’s life, and still to this day continues to be the same.

Jose was known for always taking the lead role in musicals and working on music projects. He also enjoyed making home-made music videos and representing his church group "Jornadistas" by singing with the choir every Sunday. Jose has always been aware of his dream to become a musician, so he therefore took it upon himself to make his dream a reality. He began his journey of converting his dream to reality when he won first place in a singing competition for Subway restaurants. His prize was being recognized by a large audience and won a trip for two to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jose continues to strive for his big break when he auditions and competes in shows we all recognize like Objectivo fama, American idol, and X-factor. In these competitions Jose made it his objective to prove the world that music is his passion and he did so by putting in all his efforts and singing his heart out.

Jay Alva’s Latin roots have inspired him and his music so greatly that he has chosen to work with Spanish genres such as Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and Cumbias. Although, Jay Alva greatest genre is Reggaeton, he enjoys it the most. He has worked as a background vocalist for several up-coming local bands, one of them being a Salsa group known as "Spanglish Carta".

In December of 2010, J-Alva received his first highlight when he rocked the stage in the Machete concert at Madison Square Garden for Time Warner cable “ALCANZA LA FAMA”. There he stunned the crowd by singing the hit "Pobre Diabla" by Don Omar. After his outrageous performance he received his first standing ovation and was introduced as an up-coming Latin artist. Jay Alva developed a devotion for Reggaeton music and explains it be talking about growing up with Spanish/English speaking friends and family. He feels grateful towards his background for inspiring him to implant the beautiful Latin culture in his music.

Currently at the age of 23, J-Alva persistently works day by day, and show by show to continue growing stronger in the music industry after jay's successful launch and proper representation he landed an exclusive debut on univision despierta america 2013 and also an Exclusive interview with Telemundo Acesso Total. Has been one of the top Concert Openers for some of the biggest names in the latin industry : Don Omar,Plan b Chencho y Maldy,Zion y Lennox,Ivy queen,Bachata Heights, Etc.
